Hi Everyone

I am new to this website. My husband has received a job offer which has offices in both places - Upland,PA and Danville, PA. We can't seem to find that much information about either place online. Can anyone tell us which town would be a more desirable place to live? We currently live in Tucson, AZ. We don't have kids yet, so school districts don't factor in right now but might in the future. Thank you.

Upland is a suburb of Philly. Danville is a small borough in the central Susquehanna Valley whose claim to fame is the Geisinger Medical Center. If small town living appeals to you, then choose Danville. If you like living in a metropolitan area of about 6 million, Upland is your kind of place.

upland is a small town outside the borders of the original town of upland (now known as chester). it is part of the chester-upland school district. it wouldn't be my first pick for a home in the Philadelphia area. that said, there are plenty of options near upland PA that are probably more suitable. if I wanted small town PA upriver, Danville is a nice enough place that I would recommend considering it.

Please be aware that finding a nice home to rent or buy in Danville proper is difficult. Ditto for apartments. Most folks who work in Danville live elsewhere. Nearby towns to consider are Bloomsburg, Northumberland, Selinsgrove and (I saved the best for last) Lewisburg. Milton and Sunbury will be cheaper but not that desirable a place to live. Good luck.

That was fast. Do you know anything about the school districts? Where people shop? Anything?

I'd rather live in Glen Mills west of Philly than Danville.
