Mod cut - Please note that this post is from 2017 and it's the first and only post from darediz.

Hi All,

My wife and I are considering a move to Perkasie, PA. We have a 3 year old daughter and are looking to get out of New Jersey. I came upon Perkasie, PA as it seems like a nice small town with a good school district (Penn Ridge). Is Perkasie a great place to raise a family, is it safe there (as far as crime and drugs), are the schools great, and if there is anything else that I should know about the town that would be great. We drove around and it seems like a lot of farms and new developments as well.

Also, how diverse is the area?

Any insight is greatly appreciate. Thanks!

THis is a great area. It is sandwiched in between Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia. You have so many options. Lovely surroundings.

Perkasie is a cute town, and IMO low crime. But I would not exactly rate it as "great", more like "medium". There is something of a drug issue there, but that's so all over these days. The location with access to things to do on weekends is very good. It's not a bad school district but there are better ones. If school district really matters then you should look very closely at all the nearby areas and compare. However, if you looked and liked it, then go for it.
