It's an anomoly in southeastern Pa. Geographically, its kind of a low point surrounded by hills so its sort of a wetland area with a big migratory lake. Its also somewhat isolated from more developed communities on three sides. I think its not a bad area, personally.
Definitely somewhat yokellish but I'll take that over the problems many areas surrounding it has.

I'm not quite sure why this thread was bumped up, but the OP was started in 2008 and I believe Dannigirl has been living in or around Quakertown for the last couple of years. Nothing wrong with posting for other people's benefit, just an fyi.

Default Thinking of making the move

Can anyone recommend a great suburb of Hershey? We are considering making a move but very nervous about up rooting our children.

Pennsburg isn't a suburb of Hershey.

But Hershey is a suburb of Harrisburg, and many people quite like it out there.
