What is your favorite county fair in PA? We attend the Clearfield County Fair each year. I haven't been to any other county fairs in PA but I hear Clearfields is one of the best ones.

My favorite fair isn't a county fair, but the Bloomsburg Fair, which is the closest thing PA has to a state fair.

I second Dawne! The Bloomsburg Fair is great! Still keeps its roots with the livestock showings, with cows, goats, chickens, pigs and the like to see. Has a lot of rides for both kids and teens, great enertainment, both at the free stage and the main stage. Plenty to buy, with dozens of vendors showcasing their wares.

And the food!! I could go on and on about that!

Definitely gets my vote for favorite fair!

We just moved here last year from NJ. We went to Wayne Cty Fair and then Pike Cty Fair...Wayne Cty was much better. Hubby participated in the firefighters competitions at both fairs.

I've been to the Butler County Fair once. It was pretty good. They get great acts for their concerts.

I go to the Cambria County Fair every year (seeing as I live here and all ) and it's pretty good. On the small side, IMO.

I hear Clearfield County and Bedford County fairs are both pretty good.

I think most county fairs are the same. It just depends on what entertainment they provide (demolition derby, concerts, etc.) as opposed to what you want to see

What about the Grange Fair? Has anyone heard of it? I've never been to it, but it's a really big deal around Huntingdon/Centre counties.

I've been going to the York Fair on and off for the last 20 years. I've never been to the Bloomsburg Fair, but would like to go this year.

The Grange Fair is very nice. It's in Centre Hall, just east of State College between Routes 45 and 192 (actually it's where 192 ends). It's in the trees, the week before Labor Day, and has some great entertainment. You pay to get into the fair and then the entertainment is free. You can also rent a large tent (but the waiting list is so long you basically have to wait for someone to die). Before the fair people actually move furniture into the tents. It's amazing to see!

The Grange fair is the only one I attend and really like it. I had an ex boyfriend and his family had a tent which really rocked. It's true that you basically have to wait for somebody to pass away to get a spot from the waiting list.....pretty crazy. I missed it last year for the first time in eight years but plan on hitting it a few days this summer (I can't wait for summer!!!!).
