I will be locating to Erie, Pa in about 4-6 months. I normaly use Bank of America and Cox High speed internet service, but they are not available in Erie. Can anyone give me info on these services?

Also what are some of the close surrounding cities?

Let's see. Major banks would be:

PNC
Integra (I think they changed their name again though)
Erie Community Credit Union (Anyone living in Erie County can join. They belong to the Credit Union Shared Service Center program)
Northwest Savings Bank
First National Bank of Pennsylvania
Marquette Savings Bank
Mellon (I think they changed too...)

Erie high speed internet is provided by either Time Warner (Cable), Adelphia (Cable), or Verizon (DSL) depending on the area you move into.

Several nursing homes are in the area as well as 2 major hospitals (Hamot and St. Vincent).

Close surrounding cities are: Pittsburgh, PA (2.5 hrs south), Cleveland, OH (2 hrs West), Buffalo, NY (2.5 hrs East). Several airlines run commuter links out of Erie International, or you can catch most major airlines less than 2 hours away.
