My wife and I are looking for a weekend get away suggestions to PA. I am coming from Long Island, NY and wide open to suggestions. It will be this weekend. Probably Sat-Tuesday. I already been to Lancaster (absolutely love), Hershey, Poconos, Jim Thorpe.

Thanks in advance!

What kind of getaway are you looking for? Big city? Mountains? shopping? Are you looking for somewhere new?

Obviously Philadelphia or Pittsburgh if you want a city.

The Bethlehem area is very pretty and fairly easy to get to from Long Island.

Thanks CPOMP!
Looking for shops, restaurants, some drive by site seeing, maybe a museum. Bethlehem looks great!

Northern Berks and Schuylkill County have some great attractions. For the ornithologically oriented, Hawk Mountain has a small information center and gift shop with exhibits and displays and they post migration statistics Spring and Fall. Nearby in Hamburg is Cabela's, a must see for outdoors enthusiasts. They have a huge taxidermy exhibit and aquarium. Then in Shartlesville Pa is Roadside America, also a must see for the model train enthusiast. In Ashland Pa and also in Nesquehoning they have coal mines open to the public via underground cars. Reading has a great museum.
I used to suggest Shady Maple as a destination restaurant but its closed now due to the coronavirus safeguards. Now that i think of it, maybe everything is closed. Bad timing. I guess Hawk Mountain and its trails would be open, however.

Be prepared to eat while you are walking. No inside seating for the next couple of weeks..... I'd hold off on that sight seeing for a few weeks for a good experience anywhere.
