Looking to move from NJ to PA. Main criteria is good schools, safe town, good community with shopping, restaurants, etc.... Needs to be in southern PA based on work location.

Any feedback on Chadds Ford or Kennett Square? Do you recommend these towns?

Chadds Ford in just about every aspect including schools. These two communities are on 2 different levels. If you are looking for value Kennett Square is the way to go if you are looking for great schools, proximity to shopping restaurants etc then take a look at the Chadds Ford area .

Default Any feedback on commute time...

thanks for the feedback on Chadds Ford. Have had similar feedback from others and doing web searches on schools and real estate.

Any idea how long it would take from chadds ford to Aberdeen maryland? Shows about 50 miles on google maps...but not show how long actual drive time would take? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Is that going to be a daily commute? Its actually a very pleasant drive on mostly country roads but you are still looking at 1 hr-1 1/2 hr commute each way and at gas closing in on $4 a gal ? Yikes.

If that is going to be a daily commute you might want to consider the Newark/Christiana DE. area. There are lots of great shopping newer amenities there and it would knock 30 miles and a 1/2 hr off your commute. Not sure about the schools though.

Good luck.
