This morning, January 5, 2020, an interstate "Chinatown" bus driver lost control on a curve in Mount Pleasant Twp, Westmoreland County, southeast of Pittsburgh. The bus flipped on its side, blocking three lanes, and three trucks and one car plowed into it.

First of all, sadness for those killed or hurt in the crash. Two UPS drivers in one cab were killed.
---
My problem is that the weather was turning foul, the curve was downhill to the right. Even on a three-lane highway, ought not truckers leave room for sudden obstructions, a deer, an overturned bus, or anything else. One of the earliest things I recall from the AAA "Sportsmanslike Driving" high school text of years ago was "Don't overdrive your headlights." In other words, you have got to leave room to stop.
---
Any comments from nighttime drivers on the Pennsylvania Turnpike?
Thanks.
