While you relish the divison in this country and enjoy the left vs right, conservative vs liberal, republican vs democrat mentality as if this was some football game, we adults are trying to change things so we can work together and stop this country from sliding into the hell it's been rocketing toward under BushCo's reign. And quite frankly if you had the slightest clue about what Republican ideology really is (and not the Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly perverted version), you would be just as ticked off about the last eight years as we are.
I personally don't have a problem with McCain even though I don't agree with his policies; I think he's a great American and have no reservations about saying that. This in contrast to some of the clowns on here who thinks it's clever to denegrate Obama by refering to him as "Barack Osama", and even going so far as to say he "has no redeming qualities whatsoever". Give me a break. I find it funny you folks claim Obama has NO experience and only a 1 term senator yet it's enough for all of you to develop this deep hatred for him? I have a pretty good suspicion where this exaggerated hatred for him is coming from but I'll keep that to myself.
I don't know what reality you think Alexis is creating but here's the reality I see, Gas prices are $3.50 a gallon, 4000+ Americans are dead in Iraq, the economy is struggling, the country is in debt in the trillions...etc. Give me one reason why I should vote for another Republican again.
I am a Staunch Republican and know You are right about Iraq.- No Doubt. But to blame $4.00 gas on Republicans just does not make sense. There are many economic reasons Gas is at $4.00.
The economy is struggling -- again Blame the Republicans. Why? I would like specific examples of Republicans causing the economy to struggle. The truth is the Executive Branch and Congress do not have that great of an effect on the economy. Then Where was the credit to the Republicans when people were making 500% profits on their homes? The economy is struggling because people in America make Stupid financial decisions and now have to pay the piper. You and Keith Olbermann can blame the Republicans all you want. But the people educated in economics know The Republicans are not responsible for the economic slowdown.

Thank you all for your insights and criticism of my view of the farcical party that is the Republicans. The last 7 years under the guidance of the worst president to reside in the oval office in the history of the country (a Republican) and the ludicrous Republican agenda, is certainly a clear indication that I hold the superior position here. After all, he's a man who thinks that "dreams take wing."

McCain is far too old and very suspect. He's a Republican, so it's clear that he has some serious problems.

By the way, I'm going to have to change that phrase I use "creating my own reality." It is easily misunderstood by the misinformed and ignorant.

And how is that democratic majority in Congress doing? They haven't delivered yet on Iraq or on gas prices. Lots of broken promises. Their approval rating is even lower than Bush's....

The democrats will be irrelevant until they take the party back from the far-left lunatic fringe.

Alexus- Everything you criticize about Republicans only reveals your own ignorance about your party.
President Bush's wing of the Republican party was hijacked by the far right. Just as your democratic party has been hijacked by Michael Moore, all of Hollywood, the New York Times and Move on -the far left.
Real Americans look at each candidate and evaluate who they think is best. People like yourself look at which candidate will only follow through on an extreme agenda to bury the other side.

The truth is Hillary and John McCain are the 2 candidates who appeal to the well grounded Americans with real issues. McCain is the only Candidate with any record of crossing party lines for the good of the Nation. Obama just speaks a good game and spews Bush hatred that all the SF Liberals love to swim in. Fortunately I believe America will reject the Far left (like yourself and Obama) and the Far right in 2008 (anything close to W).

If you want 4 more years of Bush, vote for McCain, and continue the regression.
I agree with that statement.

if you agree with that statement you have to do some research.
McCain is nothing like Bush. Bush panders to the Far right extremist Christians. McCain will not.

LOL. Of course not.

McCain, like any Republican running for president, cannot win without pandering to evangelical conservatives. Watch out for language such as, "preserving the sanctity of marriage" and "protecting innocent life." It's inevitable.

There's nothing wrong with either of those statements. We should be doing more of those things.

And I'm not "evangelical..."

I can hope you are wrong. I consider my self to be an OK Catholic. Can Always be better. I do not understand the far right wing Evangels. Any type of extremisim is dangerous to a free Republic.
