I agree with this statement 100%. And what is happening is a shame.

Bernie Sanders will not win PA.

Fracking has led to a ‘bust’ for Pennsylvania school district finances

I found this article interesting. Fracking is killing school district budgets in various parts of the state. Due to the transient nature of the business, workers are opting to rent instead of buying houses. This of course has significant ramifications given that Pennsylvania ties property taxes to school funding. The workers, who mostly came from out of state, use all the states services but don't contribute much back into it.

PA should never had a Well fee. It should have been like Texas where you tax the amount that is extracted.

We know all about that in the Poconos. During the boom years of the mid-1990's to late-2000's lavish palaces were built with taxpayer money. Even our Catholic school was almost forced to close because of the debt burden brought on by "expansion fever". Old folks were forced out of their homes because of school tax increases. Now many of those lavish palaces have been mothballed and are being sold off.

I hope the politicians in the fracking areas, where they had to know many of the jobs were temporary, had the foresight to rent modular classrooms. But that's not the fault of fracking, per se, and at this point in the game people should know better.

Whether you rent or buy you pay the property tax. Property tax is calculated into your rent.....

I'm going to take a wild guess the bulk of these transient workers are not dragging the wife and kids along.

Politicians excel at explaining why others are to blame for the poor choices politicians make.

Tom Wolf is actually for fracking(he just wants to get taxes from it), which is a reason why he won re-election. If these people are that stupid in promoting their anti-oil/coal agenda then goodbye PA.

Look at this map. These sites are close to metro areas where possible employees of this industry reside. You don't need the Philly metro to win or lose an election.

Conor Lamb is fighting AOC fracking ban legislation. She is delusional.

What's the date of that map? No active wells are shown in Wayne County, but I know several permits have been issued there.
