How is East Stroudsburg as far as crime and housing? We want to be within an hour of Hackensack, NJ - more or less and I've looked at property taxes in PA, they are very reasonable (compared to NJ). Also, the houses are very affordable. The only problem is finding a decent paying job; are there any technical writer/business analyst jobs in any of the cities within driving distance (such as Wilkes-Barre, Allentown, or Bethlehem?

I love the way the area looks, it's beautiful and the houses are very reasonable. What is the potential of someone moving into that area and making a decent living, meaning 55-60K per year (I have a lot of experience)?

Thanks in advance for any input!
