I will never say anything bad about the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers again. Philly you have an ally from New York.

Some whipper snappers think it's right there in the Constitution that NBC News declares the next president.

Those of us who have been around the sun 6 or 7 decades know that NBC News and other news organizations have banks of statisticians who analyze the vote counts that have been reported to the public to determine when the votes not yet counted won't make a difference.

Those same statisticians do the simple math of adding up the number of electoral votes for each state.

It's the math that declares when a candidate wins. NBC and everyone else just report it.

Just like they did in November 2016, and many Novembers before this. How quickly (conveniently?) some forget.

You're welcome. Now, hopefully we can begin to heal the deep divide in this country. I may not fully agree with many of Biden's stances, but I am so happy we have a president whose aim is to bring the country together, rather than tear it apart. After inauguration day, I really hope the media makes a concerted effort to avoid broadcasting any incendiary things you-know-who says. We all need to just move on from that.

It feels special to be in a city so critical to this moment in history. The block partying in Philadelphia has been LIT.

And just a note on Philadelphia's role in this election: Every Pennsylvanian's vote counts as much as the next's. It really bothers me when people complain about "big cities dominating elections." It isn't "the big city" itself voting, of course, but the people inside, each of whom matter just as much as their rural or suburban counterparts.
