Also on Crystal Street is a place called D.W. Dawgs serving Newark-style Italian hot dogs. (The owner of DW Dawgs is "diverse" in case the OP is still tuning in).

And a new place opened on Courtland recently called Lani's Grilled Cheese that I haven't tried yet. Grilled Cheese places seem to be popular now; I don't remember seeing one until a few years ago.
They are a different owner with a different recipe. They are not the same pizzeria.

Funny stuff. I was once in Old Forge and decided to track down some of this legendary pizza excellence. I stopped a town cop, and asked him who made the best famous Old Forge pizza? He shrugged his shoulders and told me how to get to the two places that were the most popular. I then said, "you don't seem to be a fan, eh?" He then told me he wasn't impressed in the least, but that makes him an outlier in a town that believes that they have the world's best.

I stopped by the pizza joint, had a few "cuts" since apparently slices were not a thing. They were fair to good. I The Poconos literally has too many old world pizza joints, straight out of NYC, to count on your hands, and all of them blow the Old Forge stuff away. Of all the famous, "you got to try this" Pennsylvania foods, Soft pretzels, cheese steaks, whoopie pies, etc. that I've eaten, in nearly 60 years of stuffing my pie hole, I found the whole shtick of "Old Forge" pizza, was definitely the most oversold, and underwhelming of the lot.

Just googled for images. Looks like Ohio Valley Pizza. Just garbage.

There is some] diversity in several areas of the Poconos; mainly in Monroe County. I live in Carbon and there's little in my immediate area; near Jim Thorpe. There's slightly more diversity in Lehighton but not much.

Obviously not, or those who scream about it the most wouldn't keep voting for the system.

I’ll bet you most Sicilians would feel defamed by this claim.

Your family member will be fine and will fit in. Milford is a really nice town that they will enjoy. Systemic racism in this nation is a figment of an idiots imagination. I grew up in the Lake Wallenpaupack area and is the greatest place on earth and would Do anything to go back. It just isn’t in the cards right now for us.

For the record, NEPA has some of the best food, especially pizza. No other place in the US can compare to Old Forge pizza.
>>>. Systemic racism is not idiocy, its just politicized partisan BS that is greatly exaggerated. You tell people they're racist or that others are racist and many will believe it and become idiots. But you are 100% right in everything else you said. The only knock I have against the Poconos is they seem to have the worst winter weather in PA and too many from NJ and NYC move there. It was better when it was less crowded and more of a a vacation area.

Here's the OP, please get back on topic. Note that the OP is not asking anything about pizza.
