Hi all,

I filed for a new claim on Oct., 17, 2021.

I have 22 credit weeks and the Base year wages are as follows,

Jul-Sept 2020 11,035.74
Oct-Dec 2020 22,233.41
Jan-Mar 2021 0
Apr-Jun 2021 582

My Monetary Determination states that I am INELIGIBLE for benefits because at least 37% of your total base year wages were not paid to you outside the calendar quarter in which you had the highest wages.

The high quarter of 22,333.41 includes severance pay of 18,739.

Seems as though an abnormally high quarter due severance pay is denying me the chance to collect benefits.

Should I file an appeal?, or am I wasting my time.

Thanks
