My family and I are relocating to Chambersburg, PA this summer. We are looking for a townhouse rental that will allow pets. We are looking into Nicholson Square. Anyone live in that area? How are the schools?

Nicholson Square is on what they call the "north end". This is a good location, close to shopping and not far from the Interstate, yet still feels like your in the country. Many farms still surround that area. not sure which land is sold to building and what will stay though. That area just expereinced a lot of new growth...i drove through the other day and saw many houses for rent/sale. Only downfall is the numerous for rent signs...could change the dynamics of the area. Overall though, it seemed new, clean and safe. Saw a few bikes/play stuff in yards....not sure about the pets. A junior high is right across the street called Faust, its pretty good. The Highschool( there is only one)is huge, but also ok. Some of the elementary schools score very poorly. I think that area may be bussed to the new school being built called (ben franklin) ???. This is a combination of one good school and two fairly poor ones....so who knows how that will go. Hope this helps.
