Hi,
I'm looking for a hair salon that can manage my thick and wavy hair. I'm fairly close to Philly. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I wish you were a bit further west... in Ephrata I go to a wonderful stylist who knows exactly what to do with my very thick, wavy/could be frizzy hair. She truly loves what she does, and is a whiz with color. The only down side is that she takes a very long time if you are getting cut, color and style (around 3 hours!). Price is very reasonable.

She has the same type of hair herself, so she knows what to do. She can do a great job styling it all smooth if you want, and she is so NOT a hard core seller of products. She owns her own salon.

Just in case you are interested, the name is Studio George, in Ephrata. pm me if you need the number.

Sherif Zaki Salon in Greenville, Delaware is fantastic for thick, wavy, curly frizzy hair. Sherif is Egyptian, so he is used to dealing with difficult hair. He even has his own relaxer that his father formulated years ago in Egypt. People drive long distances for him. From Philly it's probably between 30 and 45 minutes. Sherif is fast, runs on time, and is the sweetest man ever!
Some of the stylists were trained under Sherif at the salon, so there are many other fantastic stylists who would be great for you, if you don't want to pay Sherif's $70 haircut price.
