I would consider posting a few questions in a new thread in the Lehigh Valley forum at the top of the PA forum page. There are a lot of friendly folks there more familiar with Northampton County than I am. A tremendous number of people commute everyday from the Easton area to New York City, so the drive can't be all that bad. From what I hear the best schools in that general area are Parkland and Saucon Valley, but those are in relatively-affluent suburban areas with newer homes and higher housing prices (although still cheap compared to NYC).

People on my forum rant and rave over how much they love the Pleasant Valley schools. You'd be about fifteen minutes away from Stroudsburg and about twenty minutes from the Delaware Water Gap. I know there are more knowledgeable people about that area on the Northeastern Pennsylvania forum, so please post a thread there as well if the Pleasant Valley School District sounds appealing.

Yes, please post in the Lehigh Valley forum. Not sure where you are getting your info Scran-Barre, but Saucon Valley is not one of the top districts in the area. None of the schools surrounding A-B-E are bad and some will even argue that the ones in the cities are good as well. Come on up to our forum and we'll give you the inside scoop.
