Raystown Lake near Huntingdon is a good choice.

Hotels: There's a Comfort Inn in Huntingdon that is decent....there are also places in Altoona.

Cabins/Campgrounds: There are 3 state parks in the area: Canoe Creek just north of the lake, Trough Creek on the lake, and Warrior's Path just south of the lake. PA's DCNR generally offers reservations for cabins/campgrounds at all three, feel free to click links here: Pennsylvania State Parks - The Alleghenies and Her Valleys Region - PA DCNR to explore it.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!

Oh, and here is information about Raystown Lake itself, which is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers: Raystown Lake, Pennsylvania-The Army Corps at Raystown Lake Welcomes You to PA's Best Kept Secret

You might also want to try Pinchot Park. They have cabins, tents, and these things called yurts, which are very cool. Also some beach area. It's in northern York County, would probably be about 1 1/2 hours from Baltimore.

Raystown is probably a good choice. If that doesn't work out, an hour or so northwest or Raystown is Prince Gallitzin State Park which has a nice lake for boating, swimming, etc.
