Unfortunately there is not much interest in NW PA on this forum. I myself have lived in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area my entire life and have never been further west than Wellsboro and State College. Erie is definitely a place I'd like to visit soon though---perhaps I'll vacation there as a graduation gift to myself next summer.

As I had to choose one, I chose DuBois bascially because of location.

In my opinion, most of these towns are pretty similar. They're small towns surrounded by rural mountains, forests, fields, etc. Most are connected by I-80. There are some larger employers in the region. Yes, this far north you begin to think in terms of regions/regional. The biggest difference between them is location, otherwise they're really similar small towns with certain aspects unique unto themselves.

I voted for St. Marys since our hot local WNEP-TV reporter Julie Sidoni hails from there.
