Foxfire, you can find some beautiful victorians in Honesdale. If you do a search on Honesdale photo tour, Scranton/Wilkes Barre has posted some beautiful pictures of Honesdale and many of it's gorgeous Victorian homes.

Honesdale, Hawley, or Milford would really be your only options to find a lot of Victorian-era housing in Wayne/Pike Counties. The rest of the counties are largely-rural and home to farms, newer construction homes on acreage, modular and/or mobile homes, log homes, etc. Milford is cute, artsy, and friendly, but it's also steep, if you catch my drift. Honesdale is much more affordable, but it's also much further away from NYC/NJ. Hawley might be the best compromise for you, being about midway between Honesdale and Milford.
