I don't know anything about that area, but I feel certain you made a better choice. Enjoy!

Sorry to sound harsh, but that's the facts.
So why don't you leave! There are always people with poor attitudes. If you know so much about the problem then do something to help.

I will leave. My kids are settled here and I will not leave until they are finished with school and able to live here on their own if they so choose. Until then, what exactly is wrong with me telling the truth to others who are considering relocating to this area?

How do you know the specifics on the prevailing types of drugs? Are they cheap? I thought these types of drugs were expensive and that theft crimes would be high on the list of problems since these individuals would need cash to support their habits. Are the police not reporting these crimes too?

I have many friends in the area that are still largely into the drug scene. Trust me, I know.

Vicodin usually sell on the street for $1-$3 a pill, so yeah, they're cheap. Oxy and Methadone cost a good bit more, but still usually a bit less than what heroin does.

There are plenty of crimes to support drug habits. There is a convenience store robbed at least once every other month, copper is being stolen everywhere (then cashed in at salvage yards for drug money) not to mention the amount of home and business break-ins on a monthly basis.

The crimes exist, but Mifflin County Regional very rarely releases their police reports to the media. Pick up a Lewistown Sentinel any day of the week and you'll see the police and fire report is made up of almost all stories from Juniata and Huntingdon counties - The Lewistown Sentinel has stated on many occasions that the Regional Police very rarely release police reports to them....................That is unless its a drug bust and they want to pat themselves on the back for the one person they caught while hundreds of others continue to deal, use and laugh at them.

So I guess the Granville Township police do not release reports either?

I never said Regional "do not" release reports, I said they "very rarely" release them.

Granville releases more than the Regional do, yes. But Granville has a much smaller coverage area than the Regional Police do, and their area is VERY rural.

What exactly is your point?

Point being that this is another police force in the greater lewistown area and it appears that they must rarely issue reports on drugs too; or they are just not busting anybody and have nothing to report.
