Exactly right. The key is for the registration to be up to date when you show.

If its the motorist's first time, and it was just forgetfulness, most judges do like to be merciful on this kind of matter. Who hasn't forgotten to pay a bill or complete some other time sensitive task from time to time.

Nothing you can do... the real question here is why did you allow it to become expired? You should have received the renewal notice in the mail weeks before the end date.

Default Dead tags and dead inspection in PA

Quick question, my neighbors have a car parked on the street with dead tags and inspection. What if they were to hit my car or anyone else's, or if someone were to hit them. What happens? I'm assuming they would be at fault no matter what. We live in PA

My wife got a ticket for my negligence to remember to renew the registration by a few days. I've know others that this happened to and the officer gave a warning and told them to get it registered immediately. Not only was she fined $130;they also towed the car for another $275. This seems excessive.

You can renew your registration online and immediately print the documents. PennDot, imo, sends notices very timely. No reason to allow it to expire.

I just got a citation for my inspection sticker being expired . It was out end of January . The cop didn’t put the total cost for it. I added it up and it was $77. But why didn’t he put the total of ticket?
