what do you think of the St. Marys area? does it have good schools? how about some shopping stores like Walmart or Lowes? How populated is it? Is it a busy city? how is the downtown? I heard a lot about Straub beer and how is that?

I went to college with one of the Straub's. Personally, I liked the beer. Be sure to go to the brewery, they have the eternal tap, always stocked with fresh beer. Rules are, don't abuse it and clean your glass.
As far as the town, I have only visited, it seemed like a nice town.

Hey, Dylan D ...

If you do a forum search for St. Marys, there are several threads out there with answers to your questions. I know it's north of I-80, that's about it. Good luck with your search.

I have a friend who lives there. When she wants to get more serious about shopping she goes to Altoona and stays overnight.

I lived in st.marys for 18yrs. The schools are ok considering the location. If you like to shop i would move to a bigger town st. marys has nothing. The town is very dull. Thats why i moved away for college.

Straub's is good beer. I used to deer hunt in Elk and Cameron Counties. Its a nice area, but there are more deer than people.

Default its not a bad town if you like to fish and hunt

Then you have Dubois Pa that has a lot more shopping and food places.
I like to do out door stuff so i like that area. but if you need the action then not for you.
