I am making my trip to PA in 10 days and will spend 10 days there looking at houses. I am looking for an older home that will need updates and will also be purchasing all new appliances, i.e. refrigerator, washer/dryer, stove, dishwasher and upright freezer among other things. I have been approached here in CA to join the DirectBuy membership and attend an open house. I do not want to join until I find and close on a house. Are there locations in PA and does anyone know the cost of the membership? And if you do belong, is it worth the cost? Thanks.

The only direct buy store I know of is in the Camp Hill/Mechancisburg area (filled with the fixer up homes you are interested in). Membership runs about $4,000.00 per year I believe. For more PA store locations see their website at:
