I am moving to Erie the end of next month and looking for an apartment (or townhouse)-
newly built or renovated, clean in a safe neighborhood.
I would appreciate if anybody gives me a hint which one is a new, quite upscale feeling apartment? (Rent range is from $700-900 a month and I am looking for 2 bedrooms /1-2 baths unit)

You ask as though you had a few areas in mind. Do you, or are you looking for suggestions?

There are multiple apartment and town home complexes off of West 38th Street in Milcreek Township.

Yes, GE typically hires contract positions probably due to their up and down business cycles. I have not worked there but know several who do or who have worked there. I've heard mixed reviews, but on the engineering side understand it to be somewhat demanding but with good pay. It's rare in this day to have long-term security in any job. Even a temporary position at GE will at least give you good experience, references, and very good opportunity at other GE locations.
