I'm not sure yet about commuting to baltimore. I am planning on going to school and I work in a hospital so my options are pretty open. I would prefer to work and attend school locally but if for some reason I can't find a job or a school I like, I am willing to commute. Good to know about Wrightsville...I would get annoyed having to drive that far for groceries and stuff. thanks!

Interesting! I am in nursing school ( I graduate in Dec ). Between my friends and I, we can give you the pros and cons of most hospitals in York & Lancaster counties. If you are considering nursing school, we can tell you which school NOT to go to Just PM me for this -I have some nice and not so nice things to say about some in this area Whatever info I can help with I would be glad to. Have a great day!

I agree completely with e's mom. I live in Windsor Township, right on the border of small Red Lion. Town Square where the kids parade for Halloween.

I moved here from Parkville, more Specifically Nottingham. Right off the BelAir road exit of 695.

It is a whole lot different up here. I dont know if you live in the city, or county, but either way it is different.

I dont think people are that slow to warm up to. In fact, my community is made up of transplants and they are slow to make nice.

Dallastown has the best schools as ranked by this site. Just change the county to York
Ranking of High Schools in Venango County

I commute to Towson everyday. First, budget your gas prices. It is 45 miles, 55 minutes leaving at 5 am to avoid traffic. If you have flexible work hours then you should be fine.

The communities right over the line are expensive b/c they know 'we' are moving up here from higher prices.

If you can live in Baltimore City then York City isnt horrible. Some people just need perspective. Just think of it as a mini Baltimore without the central Business district and outer ghettos. Its a blend, but not near as bad.
