It is obvious to me that the above comments are bogus. They know nothing really... Treasure Lake is a thriving community with a gate. The taxes are paid from the over 2100 homes to Sandy Township. The community is run by the assessment that is paid per lot per year. Tax dollars are not infused into Treasure Lake because it is a private gated community. It is a beautiful area, "Best Kept Secret in Pa" 2 lakes for boating, swimming and fishing, 2 golf courses, pools, beaches, sledding hill, sand volleyball court, tennis courts

Just ran across this site, and I hope Honest Bob got the heck out of Dodge - quick! Especially with all the people being found dead......??? I realize its dated 2009, but seriously - why stay in a "dump" Honest Bob? I don't know where a "perfect" place to live might be - but nothing Honest Bob stated was honest. This is where I was born - would never deny my roots - and have lived out of state. I currently reside in Treasure Lake and hope anyone that visits decides to form their own opinion. I know many individuals (not native to the area) that chose DuBois/Treasure Lake as their permanent home. The most common reason given is the friendly and kind "people" living in my hometown. There are many wonderful things about living in rural PA - specifically here, so I hope anyone that comes across this site doesn't turn away because of negative talk!

Default Treasure Lake PA

My husband and I just visited TL 2 weekends ago. We looking to move from Wilmington DE to Treasure Lake with our son. We have family in the Sykesville area also. We are excited! We fell in love with Treasure Lake!! Hoping to get jobs within 20 miles of there and sell our home in DE and move there by the Spring 2013!!!
