Hello all,
Me and my family might be moving to one of these areas for work and was wondering where would be a good area that is affordable and have good schools. We have a 8yr son and a 3yr girl. We more than likely will have to lease at first and then buy so I was wondering a good area that has city convience but country feel. We will be coming from central Louisiana so it will be a big change for us.

Northeastern Pennsylvania. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is a decent sized metro area, and New York City and Philadelphia are only about two hours away each.

I highly recommend the State College area...great city convenience/country feel area! Awesome schools, too! You will also be about 1.5 hours from Harrisburg, the state capital, 2.5 hours from Pittsburgh and 3 hours from Philadelphia.
