Hello all,

I'll be starting a job in King of Prussia this July and will be moving from Hawaii to the surrounding area. Our budget precludes us buying a house in KoP, so we're looking at the surrounding towns. My question to you good folks is this: given that I'll be leaving relatively early M-F to spend an hour at the gym prior to work, what towns/cities/etc. would make for a reasonable commute to KoP?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

For affordable housing you may want to look westward down the rt 202 corridor including parts of Wayne pa, Berwyn, Devon, Paoli or even down by Downingtown or West Chester.

King of Prussia is very much a high way hub in the region so you will need to anticipate traffic but if you time it correctly in can be more bearable.

The route 422 corridor is also a popular commute including Collegeville, Audubon, Oaks or Limerick but that is known for having the most traffic congestion in the region but again if you leave early then the rest you can make it more bearable.

I appreciate the replies so far. Does anyone have experience commuting from Parkesburg to KoP?

Parkesburg might be a long drive, route 30 gets very congested. Route 23 to Phoenixville and then KOP/Valley Forge might be quicker( might be, I've only driven it during the day, not rush hours), but thats still about a 20 minute drive to get to Morgantown from Parkesburg. There are more rural areas from Spring City west to very southeastern Berks/ northwestern Chester that are probably more affordable and might make a longer commute worth it.
