I'm from St. Louis, MO where we have beautiful fall colors in October and November and the temperature is a perfect 70 degrees outside, but unfortunately it doesn't last very long and we have extreme winters, which is why I'm looking into moving to the Pensacola area. My question is does the area still have any kind of fall season? Do the leaves change colors or drop? And at any point do you have a nice drop in temperatures where its cool out in the evening, perfect temp for a nice fire in the fire pit? Do you have pumpkin patches or hay rides? Sorry if these questions seem silly, but Halloween and Fall are my favorite times of the year so I'm wondering if I will be missing out on those if I move to Pensacola! Thanks for any input!

Most of us in the lower parts of Florida consider Pensacola as up North. <g> It gets down right cold up there during the winter months with lots of freeze days.

Even central Florida gets a fall season-usually. It does not happen in October or November but maybe Jan. and Feb. There are some trees that do change colors and leaves do fall off. Feb. this year had beautiful fall colors when we drove from the East coast to Orlando. Took lots of pictures because it does not happen here every year.

Halloween is usually still in the 80s and more likely to rain than be like Halloween in the midwest.

welll.. it does get cooler in the fall (60-80's), but there are very few trees that change color. Mostly evergreens here. However we do have an annual state fair in the fall and it's awesome Huge rides, tons of food vendors, games, and art galleries. You could probably look up the pensacola fair on youtube if you wanted to.
