Hello I have another question for everyone. When you decided to relocate did you rent or buy a home? I am not from Pensacola but my husband was born and raised there. I am from MN so we are moving Summer 2013. So I would like to know what did you end up deciding?

Thank you,
Lissa

Lissa~I rented. Didn't want to get trapped in a neighborhood or house I would regret later. Home prices aren't going anywhere, so you have time on your side.

We rented for three years before we bought. It lets you really learn the area before making he big commitment, and also lets you spend some time living in a place where it may not make sense to buy. We rented at the beach a block from the Gulf for three years- real significant hurricane damage danger area, and we were willing to roll the dice for that long, but no longer.

Thank you all for responding. We also decided to rent for a few years to see where we may want to buy in the future.

Thank you,
Lissa

We rented for three months after moving here, then bought.
