Went to college at PCC in the 90's, been pastoring a church out west. Opportunity to work as professor at PCC and wondered if the area has changed for the better, for the worse, or about the same since the 90's? Thanks for any and all replies.

I don't notice a huge difference, although I suspect it's slightly worse since many middle/upper-middle class people have moved over to Santa Rosa County since then.

Pensacola is severely lacking in many areas. We are the poorest county in the state, and our water is the #1 most unclean and dangerous to drink in the entire nation (seriously, it's a fact). While our beaches are exceptionally beautiful, there's not much more. At least for a young adult in the process of starting their life anyway. I think a liking of Pensacola relies heavily on age. Most people I know that stick around do so for family, and that's about it. As soon as I finish graduate school I'm gone. I'd say the one thing that's "booming" is healthcare-related jobs; but it's probably like that in many places.
