I've got two kids 8 and 6, and we'd like to know where to eat. Looking for seafood or something that represents Pensacola. Top suggestions?

I like Peg Leg Petes. Also Miller's Ale is good and very affordable.

For kids, Peg Leg's on Pensacola Beach is fun but it gets really crowded. I would try and go off hours. Also, Flounder's on the beach has a playground for the kids in the sand. There is a good restaurant at the fishing pier too called Casino Beach Bar and Grille. In Pensacola itself, McGuire's is by far the most iconic.

I second Millers Ale House.

For the most part though, Pensacola is a chain restaurant kind of city.

Peg Legs is a real treat for everyone but like someone else said it gets really crowded during the summer season so plan on waiting at least an hour or more from the time you get there.

We always tried to eat our supper about 3:30-3:45 at Peg Leg Petes and then you were good to pretty much get right in. I know not everybody likes to adjust your eating times like that, but we always ate an early breakfast and then was ready by that time.
