Does anyone know if Crown Pointe is a safe neighborhood? My husband is retired military, and we have two young children in elementary school. I searched Pensacola neighborhoods, and found a lot of information about neighborhoods in Northeast Pensacola, but very little about Southwest Pensacola. We are just looking for an area where we can feel fairly safe about a long-term investment in a home. Any thoughts about good areas for families in West or Southwest Pensacola (with relatively new construction) would be much appreciated.

I really recommend looking at the area of Pace, which is northeast of Pensacola. It is really safe there with good schools and there has been a boom of new construction in the last decade (it's also only minutes from malls, restaurants, etc.). If you are determined to live in the southwest area, look around S. Blue Angel Pkwy near the dog track.

Check the Pace area as mentioned before or consider Navarre, is east of the area, but is very safe, excellent schools and lots of housing. I will say that 50% are military families. Hope this help...

I am AD military and own a home in Croiwn Point. The schools are good and teh area is great. Not sure what you are looking for but my house is rented into July. We think it is a great house; open concept, fabulous pool and great neighbors. Will rent and consider selling.
