Good luck, Jgussler.
Lissa
I am about 3 or so hours from Pensacola--I like the climate here.
In the middle top of your screen there is a Search button.
If you click on that, you can research some of the other discussions we've had about Pensacola. It is more like the South than Southern Florida.

Thanks. I've been to Pensacola and pretty much know what I need with a couple exceptions. But the many times I was there, I was sent down to do projects that were only 3-5 weeks long and I averaged 90 hours a week at work. So I've been there, done that, but I couldn't answer one single question on night life, realistate and such. haha

I just bought a 37 ft motor home. Last time I was in a 32 ft 5th wheel. Will be working on NAS Corey.

Do you rent, own, or RV?

I'll be coming down in a 37 ft motor home that I just purchased on Thursday.

I own.

Jumping the gun here, but if you are going to be assigned at Corry Field, then I would most definitely try to get a site at the Oakgrove campground at NAS. It's a beautiful site right off the water surrounded by live oaks, less than five minutes from the air museum. It would be about a fifteen minute drive from there out the back gate on Blue Angel Parkway.

Thanks! That's the kind of info I was short. In the past I stayed out along I-10 and because of the short duration, I wasn't worried about traffic or the commute. But this time it looks like it will be about 18 months long.

I am very excited to go there. I will make sure I go to Joe Patti's Seafood market. How do you deal with the weather? I am nervous about hurricane season. Me living in mn that will be a really big change for me. How bad does it get?
