LONG lost friend Born: Mary Akins, Baxter Iowa to Clyde & Rena Akins. My email jm6549@live.com
How old would Mary be?
Mary's married name at the time of her parents death was Martin, per the records.
If she kept her maiden name then Mary A. Martin and I believe she was married to a T.H. Martin. Hopefully you find her soon and re-unite the friendship.
If you have not found Mary yet, it may be easier to find people who know her versus finding Mary herself.
Rena's obituary named Mary and her husband John, and her two brothers, and the 6 pall bearers.
The two brothers of Mary may be alive and well, and one may be in Illinois and the other in Minnesota.
Two of the pall bearers were Akin's so maybe they were Clyde's brothers. (??)
So, Mary's two brothers and their kids are out there.
The 4 non Akin's pall bearers could have been alot younger and alive and well and they may have kids too. All attended the funeral and 1 or more may very well know where Mary lives now.
Yes that was in 1978 but the 6 pall bearers and Mary's 2 brother's names have not changed via marriage. All being males.
If any of the 6 had male kids, then even if 1 or more of the 6 are deceased their male kids names have not changed either. I guess you can assume that the two pall bearers that were Akins are deceased. Unless they were nephews of Clydes and younger.
