Trying to locate the family of Ben Martin of Florida and Philadelphia. Understand that he died about 10-15 years ago. I think he lived in the West Palm Beach area.

I'm trying to find information on Vear or Vera Lee Martin from West Palm Beach, Florida. She married Hanry Samuel, my husband grandparents. His father Willie Abble Samuel born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Willie parents died and he went to live with relatives in Alabama. Willie's children don't know if he had sibblings or relatives living in West Palm Beach, Florida. His parents died before 1948.

This man's death certificate is online. He died 10/8/1975. He was born in West Virginia. He was married to Orpha Maine Stowers. He was a coal miner. His last residence was 1329 Sunrise Road, West Palm Beach, Florida. His mother's name was Tempie Sloan. His father's name was Jess Martin. He was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, West Virginia.

How old was Ben Martin? I can not find him on the Social Security Death Index. Also, where did he die?

I think he was in his 80's and died in the Miami area.

Are you sure it was 1992? The closest I can find on Social Security Death Index to what you are giving me is:

At present one of my sites I use for finding death certificates is down, but I tried the Miami/Dade County recorder site and did not find it. I'll try agian later and see if I can find it when it comes up.

There was a Will which can be found in BK: 16253, Pg 2746.
The Death Certificate was filed in this case on 10/4/93.
There was a Letter from Sharon B. Logan.

On the very bottom of the page, there is a CONTACT US. If you click there, you will get all sorts of contact numbers. You should contact the court (I can't find a direct number for probate so if you can't either, call Civil Court and ask for the number, and see how you can go about getting these documents, in particular, the death certificate as it will list the cause of death. If you live in or near Miami, don't bother calling to see how you can get a copy, just call for the location, go there, and you can review the documents and have them copied.
Next, I have to go to work now or I will be late, heaven forbid. However, there are all sorts of wonderful people on this site who may help you find the other people listed above from the court papers. Luckily, the names aren't really common. So here they are again:
