She wants the story, wants to talk to people who knew him and the story.

You make a good point and I understand, however, I use DM when I think the info I have found is too personal or sensitive for this public forum.

My grandfather died in prison when I was five. Years later when I was doing family history I wanted to know more. I eventually learned the county he was convicted in and contacted the States Attorney in that county. I received the entire trial transcript with names of witnesses and the names of jury members for$18 postage and cost of paper. This was several years before 9/11. I don't know what information is available today.
