Hello,

I am trying to find out about a baby sister that died a crib death. I need this information for some trauma therapy I am involved in and for closure. I was about 3 to 5 years old when she died.

Our father's name was Thomas Ray.
Born 7 April 1927
Died September 1978

His SSN was issued in Kansas
Last residence is reported as - Cochise, Arizona Zip Code of Last Residence: 85635

I think my sister name was Sofia or Monique but am not really sure. I cannot trust anything my mother tells me so I have to find some other way to discover this information.

She died in Wichita Kansas sometime between 1963 and 1968 to give a reasonable search range.

What information I need is her name, date of birth, date of death and if possible cause of death. Just knowing that she either never existed and what I was told is a lie or that she did exist and the above information would bring a lot of closure for me and possibly end nearly 40 years of recurring nightmares.

If you could provide me some instruction on how to find this information or help me discover it I would be very grateful. The problem is that I cannot afford to subscribe to services like ancestry.com to search for this information.
