Parents divorced, mother moved to England & remarried. Looking for biological father - Hermann Herbertz. Could someone tell me what Hammerschmiedes is??? It's on my birth cert next to his name & wondering if it's a middle name???

Default missing father

I don't have an answer to your question, I have no idea what it means. I just located my father after a 25 year absence, but it seems that he does not want a relationship, I wish you better luck.

Hi Susanne,

Hammerschmiedes means blacksmith. I believe Hermann died some time ago. Edda has the details. He had other children who could tell you about his life.

Best of luck! Andrea
