My father, the late Gerhard Munzner born in Manheim, Germany immigrated to Israel in 1932 and his three brothers, immigrated to the US, Arnold Munzner lived in Cleveland and had a daughter named Eva, The Late Dr. Charles Munzner lived in N.Y. and Dr. Ralph Munzner lived in New York State (upstate?) and had two sons. I am trying to find my cousins.

What a surprize - I was a young girl when your father, a very handsome British soldier who my mother met at the Soldiers Club in Tel-Aviv, first visited us. Your father sent us kids beautiful childrens books for years after he left Israel. I remember that he was tall and had a moustache.

My father passed away at the age of 53 following a heart attack. My mother lived to the ripe old age of 96 and passed away in 2005. I have lived in New York and California until 1983 and thereafter, moved to Canada and since 1991 I have resided in Switzerland.

I don't know whom I am replying to but if it is Cle440, then I did post my relative search on the cleveland forum and was contacted by the daughter of my late parents friends from 1942. It is an amazing story and I thank the forum for finding Helen and her father James Cope.

I still have not found my relatives, the extended family of my uncles Arnold Munzner in Cleveland and Ralph Munzner in the State of New York, both of whom would be over 100 years old. I hope someone of my uncles' exnded family will contact me.

I found the ship's log showing Arnold (1901), wife Toni (1908) and daughter Eva (1936) arriving in USA in 1937.

Found Arnold's Naturalization papers- 1943, listing 3354 Meadowbrook Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio as his address.

Found Toni's Naturalization papers -1944 same address as Arnold.
Found no other listings anywhere for the 3 of them. Sorry. Could they have moved to Canada or changed spelling of last name?


Searched Ralph, and found the ship's log-- shows wife Bertha, sons Peter Bernd (1927) and Aribert Paul (1930) Nothing more on Ralph except SS death record. Apr 1959

Ship's log - The ships bringing immigrants to America kept lists of the passengers on each trip, with details such as name, age, occupation, country of birth, etc. Those old logs are now in a database which is a useful tool for genealogical research. I could not find your Uncle in Ohio, but when I started at the beginning... the ship's log showing his arrival in America... I was able to get his family members' names and trace them to Minnesota.

I write out the search process so the OP can see if I've found the right people. Had I just said, "Here's your second cousin in Minnesota" when you were looking for Ohio people, you'd have no reason to believe there was a connection.

I do not know how to find their email addresses. Please be aware that older relatives may not have computers or email accounts. I suggest you write a letter and mail it the old-fashioned way. You can include your own email address and ask them to contact you in that manner, if possible.

For new search queries, please start a new thread and put that person's name in the subject line. Then all of the forum volunteers will see it and help with the search.
