I need to find biological father! Help! (location, sisters, old)

I'm 27 years old originally from east Los Angeles. When I was 15 I was told my my bio mom that my father isn't my real father. Since then I've been haunted by it. I need to know more about my background - real fathers side. He's from east Los Angeles. His name is Manuel Lopez, was in the army. He does have sisters and brothers. I don't know their names. I'm am asking for anybody's help!

Since your Mother did not hide it from you (as many parents have done in other cases on this forum) then you are ahead of the game. Since she was comfortable telling you that, go back to her and try to get more details.
How old was he when you were born, since his birth date can help.
Ask what high school he attended.
Names or locations of his parents.

Surely your mother knows more about him than she has already told you. Ask her for more details.

That's where I struggle. She won't tell me anything about him. Just the fact that he was a veteran. He also died in 2005. I would really want to know more about his background but I don't know where to start.

The Social Security Death Index at www.familysearch.org lists 29 men named Manuel LOPEZ that passed on in 2005, and there's no guarantee that the man you're searching is one of them.

Maybe you can figure something out by the last residence (listed for some names.) You can also discount some of the men by their birth year. If you were born in 1986 I doubt the Manuel LOPEZ born in 1903 is the one you seek.

Do you know where he lived? Did he have any siblings? Do you know Manuel's parents names?

You are age 27 and born 1986?
Realistically, the youngest your Father might expect to have been when you were born is say 16 to get some number to start with. That makes him born in 1970 or before. There are 13 deceased Manuel Lopez who died in 2005 shown on one public website.
Only 1 born after 1949 and before 1984. This one was born in 1962 and you see he was from Riverside Ca. which is under 50 miles from Los Angeles and he was in the Army.
