Hi,
I live in the Akron, Ohio area, and have been trying to find out information about one of my great-grandmothers for the past few years. She died in June 1927, but up until a couple weeks ago I wasn't sure if she passed away in Ohio or in Michigan. I met a distant cousin who told me that it is thought that she died in or around Gladwin, Michigan. I saw Highland Cemetery on the Gladwin city website. Does anyone out there know of other cemeteries nearby Gladwin?

My great-grandmother was a Hungarian immigrant, so I'm also wondering if anyone knows if there was a Hungarian cemetery? If anyone can give me some ideas, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd rather try to find her grave on my own, rather than pay the state of Michigan to search their records.

Calico Cathy

Cathy, I have family in and around Gladwin MI, & will be visiting them this weekend, 21 July 07, for a Krause family reunion. The family dates in the area back to the 1880-1890's. I have also visited some of the cemeteries in the area. Please advise of family names you may want me to inquire about with my family members or area cemeteries. I'll be leaving Brunswick Friday AM. I'll be watching for your info questions.
