I have trying to find my birth father and birth sister for about 2 years now. No luck. My sister and I were both given up for adoption, he had looked for her when she was about 5 but thats all the adoption place gave me, they said they didn't have updated info on him or her so I met a dead end. I know he was in the Marine Corps and would be around 50, she was born July of "87 or '88. I also have a half brother and a half sister but that's for another day, any help would be appreciated.
Brittany was born in South Carolina and I was told was adopted to a family in Florida, I have no other information about my birth father. It would be amazing to find my sister and maybe get to know her. My birth father I'm not so sure, I loved the man who raised me and don't have much of an opinion of the one who just didn't care.

Brittany is the first name, and Dane was her middle, not last. What else do you know about her?

I wonder if you could contact a moderator and ask that an email be sent to the original poster? It's been years since this original post was made - maybe the website would send them an email to check their messages?

You need to consider simple saliva DNA testing through Ancestry or other site. $95 maybe. I can personally put you in touch with two people who used it successfully. Both had been told by relatives the "wrong details" and the DNA results then led down the right path vs. the wrong one and step relatives were found.
Shame on those who told the wrong details intentionally for decades.

They receive an e-mail when anyone posts here and they would have had to take an action to not be subscribed to the thread. So they should be subscribed unless they abandoned their e-mail address from 3.3 years ago. Also they received direct messages from Bill.
