Hi to everyone from here in the UK,
I'm trying to trace my family history and would be great full of any help.
My Great-grandfather John/Jack Taylor was born in Orange County around the late 1880's had an argument with his family left home early 1900's and stowed away on board a ship to Bristol in the UK. He got married in the 1920's and had 7 children; Violet, Dolly, Jean, John, Nelly, Chrissy and Desmond.
As he jumped ship and most of his children have passed away from speaking to relatives i have so far traced there are no records of him immigrating to the UK as he jumped ship on arrival and where he was born is all we know.
Any help or pointers in the right direction would be most gratefully received especially as its my Mothers 60th birthday soon and she has always wondered about her US roots.
