My name is Frank Rauscher. I live in Germany and i am looking for my half-sister. She was born as Ann-Marilyn Rauscher on July 14, 1961 in Nürnberg, Germany. She was adopted at the age of 2 and moved to the USA. From here on there is no trace of her.

This is a good case for a DNA test, through Ancestry, Frank, to see if you can match up with her or any of her descendants.
Wouldn't immigration records help out? Other members here do have access to such. That record from 1963 could give the adoptive name which would be a huge clue.
And as Clara said DNA since it's been 57 years and thus she is age 59 and likely married with children and grandkids and nieces and nephews and cousins.
I got lucky and found it quickly on Ancestry. I searched for Ann Marilyn born 1961 (left surname blank figuring she would have traveled under her adoptive parents surname) hoping to find a passenger manifest. I stumbled right on her naturalization papers.
5thgenSF has found Mrs. Wright. Good job.
Her mother died in 2016 and her photo (mother) is on Ann's Facebook page. It looks like her mother's funeral was in Nuremberg Germany.
I hate it when they don't come back and even say thank you. I guess they figure it was free so why bother.......I feel crabby tonight. lol
