didn't have my head on straight
my sister and i took a trip to jax beaches. i met him there. i can't really go into the whole story but he was an amazing person. i just didn't know at the time he would make such an impact on my life. now i can't even tell him thank you. i didn't ask any questions, not for a last name, phone number, e-mail...nothing. all i know is that name is ringing in my ears. i called to the hotel and left my email address at the front desk but with little information, i doubt he ever got it. so, here i am on this site. i know miami is probably as huge as my whole state, but somebody's got to know somebody, you know? somebody's got to know someone named lawrence, or know someone who is in the coast guard that just might happen to know someone else. words spread if people ask the right things. but, try as i may, i realize i probably won't ever know. such a sad thought but a wonderful memory! my loss if my effort fails.
