I am trying to locate my birth father Bobby Joe Comer, as it is stated on my birth certificate.
My mother took me from him. My parents divorced in 1976 and in that same year my father re-married a woman named Cynthia Ann McKinney on Oct. 10th, 1976 in Santa Clara, CA.
Since then my mother made numerous attempts to extort monies from him. She finally sold me out for $1000 dollars to pay for hospital bills from my half sister's birth.The premise of this arrangement was if the $1000 was given in a timely manner, 3 weeks, she (my mother) would ask for no further money but also that my father would never get ANY visitation.
I am not angry with my father for this. After reviewing what little documentation I have and knowing my sick mother as I do, I see now he had little alternative to this offered deal. I KNOW for a fact he DID pay child support and DID want to have contact with me at that time.
The last known information I was able to track down was a phone number in Pleasanton, CA that was active until 2001. I have currently hit a brick wall.
Any advice or assistance is appreciated.
I need nothing from this man other than to know him. I am happily married with 2 beautiful daughters, own my home and have a lucrative career that I thoroughly enjoy.
Found the marriage record... it gives his birth as "about 1950."

lol...thank you, I just now had come across the South Boston one being I found out today he was born in Virgina. Am trying to run down a SS# for him via an attorney that my Mother had used for her further attempts to extort money.

Bobby was born in Virginia on April 2, 1950. Bobby later married a girl with the name of Cynthia McKinney. They lived in Sacremento, Ca. They have been divorced since the 80's. Could this be your father?
