Hello, My Name is Richard Prescod and I have never met my father's father. His name is Lionel Prescod and he was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados, he migrated to Trinidad started a family and left for Cuba with his last child a baby daughter named Cleo, when his wife died and most of the children were young adults.
I have seen a picture of him in an army uniform holding a rifle at the home of my uncle, but that old photo and stories are the only memories of him. I was once told that family members I may have had reached out to those in Trinidad, but the letters were in Spanish and they made no attempt to translate it.
The reason I am reaching out now is that my dad tried when I was young, without success, he's now deceased along with most of my aunts and uncles and the next generation like myself is older now and have no way of getting to know him.
I am 52 years old the second to last of six children for Rudolph Prescod, he is the son of Lionel Prescod along with his siblings: Aldwyn, Aldrich, Grace, Mervyn, Selwyn, Carlisle, Bernard, Cleo and one other brother I can't remember his name right now.
My aunt Cleo if she is still alive maybe in her seventies by now.
I am told that we're descendants of Samuel Jackman Prescod from Barbados. I would appreciate any help or information that I can use to locate them. Thanks
