My adopted son is interested in learning more about his true genealogy on his bio mom's side of the family. We have tried to ask his aunts and his mother, but haven't gotten very far.
What we know is this his mothers name is Charlene Basurto (I have all important information such as SSN and DOB), grandmother is Marianne Branum, and grandfather's name is supposed to be Duane Eugene Basurto (very interested in this line).
This family is twisted and intertwined (multiple people with similiar names)making it hard to really put the right people in the right order. Marianne is deceased 08. There is history if criminal activities and multiple partners resulting in several children. I mean no disrepect to the family in saying this, but it has made it hard to trace the lines to whom they really belong too. And because of the criminal activity there are court records but not much of anything else I can find.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need sensitive information please pm me.
My son was able to talk to his bio-mom today and she gave him a little more information, but not very much. Charlene's fathers name is Eugene Basurto, his mother is Imogene Burbank and Imogene's father is Benjamin Burbank. As far as dates and other information about spouses and other children, we haven't been able to find anything yet. I believe these people should be from around California and probably connected to the Round Valley (tribe) who are of little help.
